Work schemes

Chanton offers candidates the opportunity to work under the following employment options.

1. PAYE - Candidate receives a net pay which means Chanton pays the tax and NI deduction on behalf of the candidate.

2. CIS [Construction Industry Scheme] To get processed through CIS, the candidate has to be registered with HM Revenue for CIS and have a CIS or a UTR (unique tax reference) number. The candidate gets deducted a flat rate of 20% CIS tax from their gross wages.

3. Limited- Candidate registers with a limited company i.e. an umbrella company or a company of their own. In this case, Chanton do not deduct any taxes or NI.  Chanton will pay the limited company gross pay. This means the candidate needs to pay taxes after receiving gross pay.

More information on these work schemes can be found on Inland revenues webpage.
