Environmental Engineer
Chanton Land Survey is looking for a Environmental Engineer for contract monitoring /customer services in the fields of waste management/recycling (residential and commercial), highways management and noise control regulations liaison with members of the public / residents, private contractors, businesses, police and street environment managers.
Skills: Has a thorough knowledge in Highways Management, which includes maintenance of: • Roads and Pavements of Manholes and Paving Slabs • Drainages- (blocked gullies/standing water) • Kerbs (Broken/displaced/poor appearance) • Potholes- (Carriageways/footways) • Street lighting- structural damages/ dangerous/ not working etc • Safety Fences/ Barriers- damaged (hazardous non-hazardous)
These responsibilities also include the following: • Leading the implementation of environmental policies and practices • Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation • Report writing, completion of detailed scientific reporting, written in a manner that can be understood by non-technical people. • Dialogue with clients, regulators and sub-contractors • Carrying out desk-based research to review previous investigations of a site that a client wants to purchase, and possibly undertaking field work, to identify previous activities on the site and any contamination.
